@Alice can you please stop attacking people for reposting stuff? It’s getting tiresome seeing the comments.

Just downvote it and move on. You’re just bumping the content and making it more popular while attacking people with an abusive tone. Reposts happen. No one is doing it to try to upset you.

@Alice thanks, I appreciate it. We don’t want to encourage or normalize the belittling of people who might accidentally repost something and honestly, almost everyone has done it at one point or another. I’ve accidentally done it on other non-dev-related communities I’ve been a part of and it wouldn’t have felt good to get chastised for it.

@Alice keep in mind not everyone looks at recent. The majority of devRant users use “algo” sort which for the most part is not chronological.

@busuu we can’t remove it. The downvote “reason” factors heavily into our algorithms and will become even more important in the future for detecting reposts.
