@jestdotty I had god complex for a very long time. It did not help me in any aspect of my life. Academically, socially etc. Believing you're born superior and will always be intellectually better than everyone wasn't a great take. It made me more lazy and I didn't want to try at all.

We need to work hard especially if you're gifted and be more kind.

One way it helps is you don't take anything personally. You know who you are and where you stand. You know you are smart and powerful. So anything other people say, are just words. You take what you need from it and that's it. You don't let the world tell you what to do or push your buttons.

That's a good thing, especially in a country like Japan, where societal pressure is extremely heavy. But to us, it's a meme.
