lol, the entire industry is built on legacy code. One of the few places you get to work on brand new stuff is web dev, and web dev sucks. Literally any good tool you use is pretty old code. Most likely at least 10 years old. Imagine working on game engines for Bethesda. They are continually updating a reusing code on their engine. So they are seeing bugs that existed in Morrowind, Oblivion, and Skyrim in Starfield. Plus new bugs!
