Realized what the meaning of life was yesterday.

Because the real meaning of life is yet to be found, there is an interim one — to do everything to help us exist as longer as possible as a species. So spread peace, empathy and forgiveness. If we live long enough to formulate the theory of everything, understand human brain and evolve past/patch our brains to avoid being greedy violent fucks, maybe then we'll find the real meaning. The longer we exist for, the better our chances are.

So, the ideal human according to kiki is:
- one that doubts everything and is free because of that. Freedom is doubt.
- one that has a habit of denying themselves pleasures. Without restraining themselves, one turns into a greedy, violent beast.
- actively contributes to the world peace & spreads peace among their peers, as true impact is immeasurable, and who knows, maybe butterfly effect will turn one “I'm sorry, I was wrong” into avoiding nuclear catastrophe.

There are adversaries that benefit from us bickering and fighting each other. They want to divide us. Let's deny them that. I announce that I won't engage in verbal battles and teardowns anymore.

Sometimes, static typing is beneficial. Sometimes, unit tests are necessary. JS, CSS and web platform as a whole are not perfect. JS is not perfect. Apple does anti-consumer stuff. Not all rich people deserve hate. Sass has its uses. Tailwind CSS has its uses. React has its uses.

Peace

But freedom is slavery. We don't want that. Right? Riiiight? I doubt. I feel so free right now. Thank you

    the meaning of life:

    there is none.

life with meaning would be pointless.

@tosensei sad to think like that. I think it's reproduction. That's why first world countries are the biggest idiots ever since we're declining. We're so far of nature. We're too stupid to reproduce. We're worse than a panda

@retoor "I think it's reproduction" THAT is very sad to think; that your own life has no meaning except pumping out new, equally meaningless lifes.

(especially since, on a bigger level, "everybody reproducing as much as they can" is couterproductive to survival. because, you know, overpopulation is a thing.)

but please explain what's so sad about viewing life as "here you have it, do whatever you want with it" contrary to it being laden with some "meaning"?

@tosensei you're too far lost. If we don't have meaning in life we do strange things - like bring proud on our hair. If you can be proud on that - imagine a kid. You'll get more spiritual when older I guess. This really sounds like student talk

@retoor "You'll get more spiritual when older" - well, some people get smarter instead.

@tosensei you're cute. Keep ignoring magic like new souls being born. Believe everything is explainable. Boring. Do you know every pastor (in the stroopwafel empire) has a PhD? It's not about being smart. Even wheelchairdude let the option of God open.

You're just too German to function. I can help you with this

Back on topic: React is stupid and it uses functions that way because it's old. That's all. And it doesn't have excuse to suck so hard like that by age. ExtJS didn't had the real js classes and was an OOP dream. Very structured. It is so good that after a decade of not using it I can still remember it. Main reason for ExtJS not being more popular because nobody accepted the learning curve within "stupid Javascript". Also - there were huge performance issues depending on browser. Our company had to switch to Chrome because of it. But all js stuff these days has a learning curve higher than ExtJS. ExtJS was to soon. Reason two was that the components had a windows look & feel. Customers don't understand double click in browser. Reason three: hard to style. Reason four: licensing, it was expensive for commercial use. But my point is that react sucks from the base and even being old is not an excuse in this case. OOP for life (Vue or vanilla)

@retoor I opened the official Ext.js demo page and tunak tunak tun started playing 🤨

@jestdotty I wanted to fight the doubt is freedom thingy too. But for a while your environment didn't accept doubting the vaccine. That's not freedom. Same for not accepting the insane pro Ukraine propoganda, questioning that won't make you popular. The news papers know that they were wrong and just started other subjects. So I actuallii agree with the kiker
