Lensflare17157161d@retoor how do you know that he is a jew? And why would you think that @tosensei has something against Jews?
-
Lensflare17157161d@retoor the sky is blue because the atmosphere scatters short wave light more that it does with long wave light. So the scatted blue short wave light gets into our eyes which makes it look blue.
Your turn. -
tosensei8411161d@Lensflare never seen her in my life, mister. that crazy lady must have me confused with somebody else.
-
retoor12045161d@Lensflare nah, was always standing on the side watching them giving eachother wedgies
-
Lensflare17157161d@kiki purple is made of red and blue light. And the red light is missing because it has a long wavelength and thus is not scattered by the atmosphere to get back into your eyes.
-
electrineer30343161d@Lensflare violet is not a mixture of anything, it's the colours between blue and UV

Actually, the sky is blue because it's made up mostly of nitrogen, which is what does the scattering.
If it has other composition, it wouldn't be blue at all.
So, in the chain of causes, atmospheric composition comes first :P -
Lensflare17157160d@jestdotty a sunset means that the light from the sun hits the earth from a shallow angle (opposed to from the top), so the light has to travel a longer way through the atmosphere. The blue light is scattered away more the longer it travels through the atmosphere. Because some of the blue light is missing then, the light appears more red than blue.

Well, I didn't answer because the answer to what you asked is exactly what @Lensflare said.
It has absolutely nothing to do with weather or atmospheric composition. -
CoreFusionX3422159d@jestdotty
Well, I guess you just defined stupidity yourself by just brushing off the actual, proven explanation for it in favour of some wild ideas you can't even articulate.
Congratulations.
Possibly the best bug report I've received so far.
