Layoffs are exhausting. Especially when you have to come off PTO to attend meetings. Still have a job. Back to PTO.

    if they did it on purpose to strike fear in people I'd suggest leaving cuz even if you're not next sounds toxic

    @jestdotty It was just bad timing. I probably could have been blissfully unaware of the layoff if it weren’t for the fact that I talk to people from work outside work, to be fair.

    that's part of why i left my job actually. there were not only layoffs but a lot of moving people around, and no one knew what they were doing anymore.

    the two people above us in the food chain had no fucking clue what they were doing or what they were asking us to do. we lost all the interns, a lot of good people and the vibes were just brutal everyday, with no prospect of improvement (on top of all the bad shit that was already going on for years)
