    @vinc98 don’t install a billion plugins, don’t install “free themes with a billion plugins” and keep it as a blog / simple site and not some over contorted cluster of crap smeared across the wall.

    If you can achieve all that then, and only then will I attempt to like your wordpress site.

    Otherwise no, the only acceptable opinion for Wordpress is “DONT”

    @heeMan
    Wordpress 🖕
    Joomla 🖕
    Cms’s in general 🖕

    The problem with cms’s is that they contain way to much bloat for simple CRUD capabilities, and now your relying on a 3rd party to “secure” the core and 3rd,4th,5th parties to fix their add ons / plugins (which usually don’t)

    Plus your a dev, surely you know how to build a CRUD template that takes 10 minutes to have up and running for the specific site in question or any site in that matter and the throw a front end over the top.

    If you want to blog, use WordPress. If you want to write your own CMS (reinvent the wheel), use one of the plenty frameworks.

    Just don't try to "slightly customize" a CMS. That doesn't work. They're big, complex and meant for users, not coders.

    @Huuugo Nah I didn't want to try one. Everyone seemed to hate CMSes and I was wandering why.

    @heeMan devs hate seemingly simple software they can't change. CMSes are big piles of spaghetti code, though. Not really meant to be hacked on.
