    People with a big ego think they have achieved a lot.

    People who have achieved a lot think they have a big ego.

    @donkulator wow. Nice. I think everyone is allowed to be proud on him/herself without counting it directly as ego. What you're doing is the most awesome stuff, else you would've done smth else.

    Ego is for me when you stop looking past yourself and don't learn from others anymore

    It's not 100% rule, but it is a cue USUALLY:
    People with achievments usually don't praise their own work, other people praise their work. People with ego usually constantly praise their own work and tell others how great they are. Someone who's actually great doesn't need to say how great they are, everybody around them already knows it.

    We have a saying in my language(I think English has something similar too): "The baker does not testify his own dough" - Meaning that speaking highly of your own achievements/creations, means nothing, others should speak highly of you or your actions to give it meaning.

    @SoldierOfCode I was hoping it’d be something like this instead.

    Achievement: Actions
    Ego: a mental image of yourself

    Talking about achievements: talking about your actions

    Talking about ego: talking about your identity

    an "achievement" is something you do.

    "ego" is the cheap replacement for self-confidence that people need who never achieved anything, but fanatically believe they have to in order to validate their existence.

    @-red matrix is a group chat that she left because she had a fight with someone that controls the news

    @jestdotty being a jew

    @jestdotty "How can anyone control the news"
    By owning them? In many countries pretty much all news stations and papers are owned by a small amount of politicians.

    @jestdotty haha, yeah. All jews I know are great in self mockery while the non jews are being very protecting about them (you can't say smth about them in news). Like a minority. They don't give an F actually.

    Ok, I only know one jew. I judge the whole group based on that one. That's how it works
