What’s your “completely break KDE Plasma beyond repair while never leaving their GUI settings panel” speedrun record? Mine is 8 minutes. That’s four times as long as my usual sex!

@kiki I'm freaking done coding for today. I gonna try that window manager. The shortcuts seems to make sense and 2000 lines of C code is just freaking awesome. Will read the source while consuming a nice westmalle. I do not have any idea what to add to a window manager tho. Would be nice if i find some addition to apply to it. Maybe some application usage stats. It could parse from some windows the file name you're working working on. Also, i could add wren to it. I apply it to everything I find

@kiki I did try. That i had to change the terminal did take me way too long to figure out. Then, i tried it, but realized that i had to login for my git again, on google chrome.. Switching WM had bit more impact than expect. At a certain moment i thought - what problem am i trying to solve? As stated before i'm quite happy with xfce. But i do admin, dwm is clean as f and very extensible. It's a good thing to keep in mind for somewhere in future. For now i stay at xfce

I too fell in love with xfce since the Kali days.

I can't stand gnome (tho it's gotten better), and KDE sometimes does weird shit.

Then again, 99% of my Linux boxes are tty only, and my daily driver is windows, so I guess I just accept whatever the next live distro I use uses 😂

@tosensei did use it years ago and it's indeed a very nice environment indeed. But I used it in combination with mint and I often add issues with updating of apt sources back then

@kiki I retried it, i should've given it more time. Their terminal and command bar that you have to download secondary are very nice. But it took some time to discover that. First i configured xterm not having the X clipboard so that sucked. Later i configured browser, status bar and tab names. But it's cool, a real DUI window manager. I know you can send messages to your statusbar to terminal but didn't figure out yet how to get element (Matrix) / Telegram notifs yet. Did add keyring to .xinitrc and stuff what should've helped according to some people

@retoor did you mean DIY? DUI is driving under influence 😁
