All social media players have a way of tracking you, whether it be on platform or off platform. Facebook and google are probably the worst for tracking off platform. -
They don't link accounts, it's illegal without consent. It's your browser. You have many Ads id's that collect everything they can and that collected data is sold to bidders of all kinds. One part of your data is about browsers, anything can be useful. So when you log in twitter, it buys a pack of data related to your browser I'd, mix it with your twitter data stack, and sells your timeline to anyone interested in "ranter with google chrome, 53 years old, passive twitter user, with searchs about python, machine learning and organic yogurts" or something like that.
Even if you use a browser that doesn't allows tracking, that data (Firefox focus user, IP 16.88.67.47, 1024x968) is collected and somehow added to a profile that matches with yours, so they're going to show you the same.
Don't think too much about it, take the discount code and create several browser accounts. -
-vim-31687y@stereohisteria How did you know for organic yogurts???!!! You’re worse than Facebook!!!!!

I'm your browser, man. Been watching you long time and decided to come here to rant about your behavior on the web.

Wack63117yYou'll ented identifiers, like your email or more important your phone number on twitter. Twitter buys a lot of data packages and searches through them matching them with those identifiers.

Hey guys, does someone knows if Twitter colludes with other websites and/or services to collect data, because I thought that privacy-wise, Twitter wasn’t as bad as Facebook as I just use Twitter to follow youtubers and Donald Trump(to keep up with his craziness) and never post anything. But I just got a Python Machine Learning ad just. And it’s spooky because I’m currently (trying to be) learning Deep Learning and Google knows it (🤬🤬 you udemy ads) but Twitter!!?? Do they have a way to link my account??
