KDE personally as like the look but it's not very stable (or at least wasn't a few years ago). Gnome has been good to me stability wise but I don't like it's look

Buttons next to each other and at the edge of a box, especially window decorations, should have no margin.

lorentz1518782d@dIREsTRAITS It's not complicated to use, but if you get lost in customization you will waste time. Being effective with KDE to me is about restraint.
