So in my short time as a software developer I find myself that I sometimes get bored working (I feel like I'm doing the same thing from 9 to 5 everyday) don't get me wrong I like my job a lot but sometimes I feel like it's not satisfactory.

Do you get bored like this? And what do you do to keep it exciting for you (Don't go into money please I don't think it's the reason for happiness)

@Charon92 yeah I like to do that one time I was asked to implement a pop up view (I'm an iOS developer) but it needed to be very customized and the default iOS pop up won't be enough. So instead of looking for a library that does this I did it myself and it worked so beautifully and made me so proud.
But of course my manager didn't like that and thought I wasted time even though it only took 1 day and we use it all over the app.
