defunkt3677y@MadScientist Genuine Question: What you love about visual studio code? And how it compares with atom?
-
Atom isn't bad at all, it just feels slower and more sluggish. They really need to improve that.
-
@Crayons the best part about it is the specific features you get depending on the add-ons you can get. Each language essentially comes with a package of tools. I work mainly in Python, so it was great to be able to change my interpreter depending on which project I have, and pylint runs in the background, so when I don't write code to standard it tells me right away. Did I mention you can install the key binds, and usually the themes from your favorite editor? I have all the comfort of working with atom, with all the power of vscode. Give it a whirl, I promise you won't be disappointed!

@Alkotronikk my biggest problem with atom is the speed. That and it can't open large text files without crashing.

defunkt3677y@MadScientist Based on your recommendation I started using VS code. And man its good. I will play with it a little more. It seems like its going to be my goto editor.

I've been using atom for a long time. At work I recently switched to visual studio code. I really hate Microsoft... But I really love visual studio code!
