I was at a meetup yesterday where the topic was PHP7. I'm frontend though went there because of my backend friend. I have one question. How the fuck do you guys understand PHP? To me it looks like total black magic fuckery. Respect to all my backend fellas!

Backend generally is black magic fuckery and it gets more complicated each year. Php is one of the simplest ways to go about it tho. Whenever I want to or need to do something fast without fucking around too much with bs setups I drop in php and das it. Really good for doing shit quickly. And the language ain't bad, one just needs to understand its quirky bs :P try it man! You may like it.

PHP it's not hard pal, some webpack titanosauric configs are way worst that 95% of shit that will jump on you on the wild.

PHP isn't that bad, I use it for all my web projects that requires a backend. Sure, it's not perfect, no language is. (except c/c++ 😋)

I have to confess: I have very shitty PHP code, that were the ones I created before proper learn about clean code, structuring code and PHP itself. But I can just blame myself for that. Not PHP.
