My parents can be like that sometimes. If you're still a student, always tell them it's a project or homework and they'll usually leave you alone.

Just had the same, im leaving for vacation tomorrow and the parser for the scripting language I am making still has a big which I can't leave to fix in two weeks. My mother asked why I didn't bring my bike to the bike repair shop. She thought fixing bugs isn't a good reason...
