TIP:

1.1.1.1: the fastest, privacy-first consumer DNS service

I switched to faster DNS,
And believe it or not, it improved my internet speed.

Just add this DNS and you're gonna experience faster browsing

DNS1: 1.1.1.1
DNS2: 1.0.0.1

comment below if you experience it.

    Is this a real thing?

    Hell no. No thank you. I don't trust CloudFlare.

    Meh, DNSCrypt with privacy first, and log free servers.

    I tested it this morning and 1.1.1.1 was actually a bit slower than my providers DNS.

    To be fair enough: 13 ms on 1.1.1.1 vs 10 ms on my DNS

    @finncyr Yes, it is slow in already visited sites(cached sites) but it is faster in surfing, i suggest you to try clearing your cache.

    @jaydevs okay? Thx, gonna try it when I get home

    Can cofirm it, probably best DNS Service currently. For local/close sites its around 3-6 ms slower than your regular provider.

    But for frequently used sites it's the fastest so far 👍🏻

    @MoboTheHobo That's the Explanation I was looking for. Thanks

    DNS request latency is the least of people problems.

    @hashris Thank you.

    @MoboTheHobo really? 3-6ms 😦?

    What will people do with that extra time? Oh yea just wait for a page to load anyway 😑

    Too bad my school blocks external DNS servers. Gotta use their shit server that goes down left and right

    And I trust cloudflare more than Google or my isp so I don't see your point @hashris. The secure as much as possible and are a pretty transparent company about what they do

    @Rohr when using a VPN you can still have DNS leaks, especially when running on windows (it tends to ignore the VPN) at times.

    @iKameo
    And what DNS do you use as upstream? ;)

    @C0D4
    Linux too.

    @Linux i would have though Linux would behave better with a VPN, I guess no one is safe 😅

    @C0D4
