Ok, I get it, stickers are "cool". However, every time I see a laptop full of them I can't help but think three things.

1) Why on earth would your ruin a perfectly nice, clean, design.
2) I see the stickers and think "wow, (s)he must really be a fan of a lot of tech companies
3) I think your were one of those kids in school that glued stickers of skateboard apparel manufacturers to your backpack because it was the "cool" thing to do.

But mainly the ruined design thing bothers me. Just..... WHY!?!

Just because you have stickers, doesn’t mean you have to stick em!

@potluck that's the most developer like explanation of stickers possible. 👍

I feel that stickers are like medals for developers. More the stickers, more proud developer. 😊😂

Well, I don't really think the back side of my laptop has a nice, clean design 🤔🤔

You don't buy stickers, rather you earn them. My laptop has 17 of them and they all have 17 different stories how they got there!

@rahulakrishna hmm... That makes more sense than just randomly sticking them on.

Laptop stickers are like tattoos in that each one has a unique story about me as a dev/person ... Or I just liked the design.

I'd argue against the original being clean design...

I can't find the original rant, but someone here said that stickers are the tatos of developers.

@polaroidkidd How did you get stickers paid or free according to their offer....

@sanket7474 week there's usually people handing them out at conventions, so free I guess. If I had to. But the back of my laptop had a small dent so... Uhmmm.... I might put a sticker on it....
