    @Linux check the comments on any ms rant: "linux, linux fuck the way, linux rocks, switch to linux, windows sucks, ms sucks" ... thinking that;s the only os that everybody MUST use and without even know if the guy wouldn't be able do the job n linux because of some software or programming language...of course they wouldn't even think that someone would just prefer GUI and windows over the rest. (of course I'm not talking about ALL linux users/fans, but just a noticeable percentage hereon devrant)

    @dontbeevil
    I aggree on that. But many OSX users are like that irl thou :)

    @Linux the problem of apple fans it's slightly different: they will never admit that also mac os can have: crashes, freezes, problems, updates... and their device is fast and good quality (ssd, display, touchpad...) of course they use to compare to cheap (no ssd) and crappy drivers pc with a 1.0004+ mac :D

    No community/fanbase is perfect. Far from it. We are not prepared to explore the shortcomings of our own environments and are keen to vilify other groups. A better practice would be to recognize the good features of other ecosystems (other cultures, political parties, sports teams, hardware, OS, dev language, even different sodas) and in that way we can bring our positions closer together.

    As a Microsoft fan,

    I like Apple's hardware/software integration. Runs smoothly and that the system generally obeys the user. I am jelly they have Garage Band and Final Cut.

    I like Linux's (mint) ease of install. You can boot it from an USB. Feels very light and stable. Very customizable. Makes you feel like a true computer user.

    Windows is irreplaceable for gaming and Word/Excell/PPT combo has been soo good in the recent years. The system upped its driver compatibility game and it doesn't seem like it needs to be maintained at all.

    @dontbeevil Linux has multiple GUIs
  • 1
    @shaji I know., by GUI I mean the way to work GUI vs GLI., but mainly linux people here prefer CLI, I prefer GUI

    @dontbeevil That's quite some hacker lingo you got there

    I'd just like to interject for a moment. What you're referring to as "Microsoft Windblow$", is in fact, "Macroshit Wangblow$".

    One day, we'll dominate the world. 🐧

    @Cyanite if you're aiming for platform independence, then you support ALL OS' :P

    @Krokoklemme

    My game is Java-based. And is designed to run on every OS that supports Java.

    @dontbeevil

    Im proud windows 7 user ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ using cygwin and having linux servers.

    So I have best of both worlds and I can't fanboy one or other, you just fucking can't fanboy one over other. Each platform has its pains and each has it's big wins.

    (Even if from bottom of my heart, personally, I REALLY fucking hate apple, I accept that people may use it and like it and love it)
