Facts.
Told this story somewhere else on here, but I'll tell it again:
Had a school assignment that wanted me to loop through a list or dictionary then print a sentence. Obviously, he wanted me to get 4 sentences out of 1. But fuck that. I used 4 print statements and got full credit. Took all of 30 seconds on the question lol -
I'm giving it my 100%.
On the first 4 days of the 2-week sprint.
Then I spend some time on a hobby project on day 5 & 6. Play some games on 7 & 8. Masturbate my way through day 9.
On day 10, I use git rebase -i on my branches using HEAD~$(git rev-list --count master..HEAD), with exec (x) and GIT_AUTHOR_DATE in a script to spread all the commits out over the last 10 working days, between 11AM and 2AM.
LOOK, I HAVE WORKED UNTIL 2AM, EVERY SINGLE FUCKING DAY, EVEN WHEN I WAS UNCONSCIOUS AT THE HOSPITAL AFTER THAT CAR ACCIDENT. -

donuts236727yWell... I like to work at 100% (do things correctly and make sure I know what i m doing) so I don't need to work at 200% like everyone else that writes code that crashes in Production.

@maxx if you really feel that what your mentor gave you is good advice then I bet your manager is a piece of shit and is toxic to your work/life balance. They should be inspiring/motivating their team to perform 100%, giving timely feedback on your performance, helping you grow in your career path and more

Well to be perfectly honest, in my humble opinion, of course without offending anyone who thinks differently from my point of view, but also by looking into this matter in a different perspective and without being condemning of one's view and by trying to make it objectified, and by considering each and every one's valid opinion, I honestly believe that I completely forgot what I was going to say.

galena71537yIm more like give only 100% when its reaaaaaly necessary. Otherwise im like: nah, low power is enough.
