So I taught myself basic PHP in one day today after contemplating and realizing itll help me get the job I want. And i made a practice website with it today and im pretty proud of it so far.

That's great! PHP isn't nearly as bad as people try to make it out to be as long as you know how to use documentation. Every language has its pitfalls, but as long as you have a stable internet connection you should be able to work through it.

@sylar182 yeah so far im liking it. I also dont know where to go from here framework wise.. ive never bothered to learn one..

@Bubbles laravel is popular right now, I also have not learned any frameworks and have just started reading up on laravel myself. Hopefully I can find some time to start putting things together.

Don't fall for the PHP frameworks bandwagon!

Peer pressure or not, vanilla PHP contains more than enough built in APIs to suffice for even a content based website.

Some frameworks are great if you need something specialized, like a third party API integration for example, but other than that they're just added bloat!
