@samblaise no: if you count from 0, it goes like that: 0, 1, 2, 3, 4 instead of 1, 2, 3, 4, 5

However when counting things we do start from 1: a length starts from one whereas an index starts at 0 (usually) so it's pretty dumb on his part to count fingers from 0
