We the people request a DevRant slack channel!

Man a devrant Slack team with maybe one channel for random bitching about anything, and another for code advice/questions.. Maybe one per language.

That could be amazing.

I think this can definitely be cool. When we get a little more time we can put something together. I've had very mixed experiences with Slack groups for development communities. Most that I'm a part of suffer from poor engagement despite having a decent amount of people registered in the group.I think we can do it in a way the works well, but I want to think it through first so we don't do anything that sticks around for a week or two but then everyone forgets about. (Common for Slacks I joined)

Why? Isn't devRant doing precisely what slack does: allowing us to communicate? Perhaps a slack integration so you can get your devRant feed on slack, but otherwise I think a slack channel would be duplicating the app, if not cannibalising it altogether.

I agree that slack would perhaps take traffic away from devRant

Nah DevRant is full of awesome developers/designers/etc, a great way to collaborate.

a code block in devRant might not go astray (similar to StackOverload) preferably one that will auto beautify because its just a pain in the arse to do it on mobile lol.
