turns out Canada drinks arabica coffee

I tried this instant robusta coffee mix and it made me so calm and felt like a religious experience. love this coffee and it does seem to be different from all the other coffee I've been buying to try to find something else that feels like this

well turns out the grocery store discontinued selling this specific coffee... so I can't even get more. and everything else they sell is exclusively arabica

AI says robusta has more caffeine and chlorogenic acid but I think it's something else in this robusta coffee. even if I drink more arabica it's not the same feeling. how mysterious

something else interesting is all arabica makes me pee a lot and dehydrate, but the robusta has no such effect. so mysterious

Arabica makes you get your ass from a chair more often 😂

It's always fucked up when you finally find something you like && it gets discontinued.

Iirc coffee marketed for espresso tends to be robusta.

@spongessuck yeah so been looking into this

even the Italians selling espresso it's arabica. best I found was a mix

my bf went on the case to try to get me some like flowers. so far there's discontinued coffee companies, a Vietnamese coffee company that I guess I'd have to call to find out if they'd even ship to me...

and a brand was said to be robusta but they're all arabica and super hipster and charge a 25$ delivery fee

and there's a company in the UK that evidently would ship me some for 20$ shipping so that's my best bet for now

I also found out what it is about the coffee. robusta has less tartaric acid. I couldn't find exact numbers. tartaric acid increases IL-12 and that gives you literally brain inflammation (which would cause peeing). robusta on the other hand has more cholorgenic acid which is an anti oxidant

robusta is supposed to be cheap and easy to grow... but seems like nobody grows or sells it. all very suspicious. feels artificial to me... a big conspiracy

@jestdotty yeah who wants to sell the cheap stuff, especially when they've trained people to think robusta is inferior.

If you're having mysterious experiences on coffee it could be the mycotoxins.

@jestdotty robusta has some environmental implications. As far as I remember, it is overgrown because of demand and that depletes the soil rather fast.

And also robusta nowadays is treated as inferior coffee so many brands switch from it.

@D-4got10-01 had some nice flavorful hot pepper flavored potato chips... Discontinued. All other hot pepper chips are not flavorful but just hot. Just why?

@iiii Yup, always sucks, leaving you w/ solely memories or the necessity to look for some substitute.
