People freak out about gold. There's the Waste Management (lmao) sponsored tournament in Arizona (US) that has thousands of people crammed in seats for a single hole.

I don't mind soccer in general.

It's just because of this massive hype. Soccer by itself doesn't do anything to me. But the WM does.
All those decorated products (e.g. soccer editions of sausage?!?), comercials and massive amount of decorations (e.g. flags on cars) or people getting off work early because of a scheduled match.

At this time, soccer is in the center of freaking everything and everyone. You simply can't ignore it.
