drekhi18026y@ceee I'm so jealous of you rn. Why are the postal service so bad here.
P.s- I didn't give any driving test for driving license but still got it because they were too lazy for a test . ππ π π -
ceee67256y@drekhi12 it will reach you man ! Soon.
I got my learner's licence like that ππ.
But omg the DL test !!!! I cannot rant enough about it!!!! It was an impossible test ! No place to actually drive ,kuchcha road, for the test I had to enter the gate and reverse and exit from the same gate.
The gate was crowded as fuck ! With a truck standing here, auto rikshaws there cars honking the hell. Parking lot sorta in front.cars reversing in front of me as soon as I tried to turn i was packed from 3 sides cars on 2 sides and a truck on third. Before i cd do anything the examiner was like "aapko nhi ati hai chalani, sir(my instructor) aap car nikalwao" . They barely gave me 60 sec ! But considering that the situation and the assurance of my instructor ,that examiner passed me π -
ceee67256y@oudalally it was an impossible task,it wasn't even on a road πΆ. It wasn't supposed to be short the guy cut it short by saying "you don't know how to drive" .
Due to the insane amount of cars moving in that tiny area, and constant honking he asked me to stop trying and asked my instructor to take the car out. -
ceee67256y@oudalally i get why you say this sir,but i am capable of driving, I went for the test only when I was sure.
I would have perfectly driven on a "road" if there was any,and if they let me. And it wasn't just traffic. It was actually a crowded entrance where vehicles were stationed for a check. Cars were parked. There was no lane. The gate was just wide enough for a typical indian truck to enter and it was crowded from every side. Upon entering there was about <10 m of straight space where I cd drive and I was supposed to turn back and exit through the same gate. As i began to reverse,The cars in front of me started reversing , blocking me from the front. It is obvious that I have to wait,i tried to go sideways toward the gate, but there comes a truck filling the whole entrance few feet away from me. I was blocked from all sides And I needed time to get out of the dead lock. Wait for other cars to move and make some space. But the guy just assumed I can't,and asked me get out of the car. -
ceee67256y@oudalally actually the rules in here are really shitty and they don't really give a damn. And seldom give any one more than 5 min.
Many people don't even bother taking a test and just get the DL through some other means. Ik how stern the rules are in the UK so it's only legitimate for you to feel this is all weird, but this is how it is.
The examiners are crazy and lazy af. I read about a guy who came for the test wearing modest knee length shorts, because it was around 40°C, which offended the examiner, and despite driving perfectly he was failed , because of the shorts. -
ceee67256y@oudalally technically the tests are not as short as 60 sec. A few places that do follow the rules. Have proper tracks , obstacles etc and there are set of tasks you are supposed to perform perfectly.
But at my centre it was all nonsense. -
ceee67256y@oudalally people here still think females can't drive and I can bet my ass ,a guy as old as me wd have been given more time.
-
ceee67256yThat's great learning from Mom is the best. My mom always went along with me for driving lessons tho π¬.
Yeah you are right. It is cultural. Things should change. They are and will. -
ceee67256y@oudalally I hope one day there wdnt be any need of the extra encouragement or any need of upliftintment based on gender. That'll be perfect world.
Nice talking to you.
Have a great day βΊοΈ -
I got excited looking at your stickers and wanted to ask how long they took to arrive but then I looked at the comments. Such a serious discussion. I know India can be frustrating especially if you are a woman but I do see change and I want it to be faster. Although this govt has made a lot of things worst. I still believe in a lot of people that do great work.
Strangely I still don't like it when British people get involved. It's just too soon. -
The last statement is a callback to the 200 year subjugation.
This might help https://youtu.be/f7CW7S0zxv4 -
@oudalally it was a joke. Here comes another one.
I wish the British took Gandhi's thinly veiled hint and didn't participate π€ -
@oudalally these are just jokes. No one was offended. I am not offended. @ceee is not offended. Maybe I am not as funny as I think.
-
ceee67256y@Hu-bot0x58 i did π¬. He actually gave a reason why he can't go through all the mail I don't remember it though.
-
vocuzi81956yWhen did they arrive ? It's been almost two weeks since I ordered mine.
Haven't recvd em yet. -
vocuzi81956y@ceee the courier agency should work more like our prime minister when it comes to moving across continents.
-
You are from India. And you get your driving license from the USA.
I do not understand this. -
vocuzi81956y@rushmash I checked the status today, it says it's dispatched to local postal service.
I'm hoping to receive it by weekend.

I received my Driver's licence today. Yayy!! (I had been waiting for it for quite some time, worried if it will ever reach me)
Then I casually asked the postman. If there was any other package for me, because I am expecting a little blue package sent from US.
And he said he'll go back and check.
A few minutes later the door bell rang again ππ€©
Here they are π.
I hope, even the devrant stickers reach me soon π£.
