Got myself a ssd for my old laptop today 😊, suggest me an disto , previously I was using elementary os

    Would say arch but why not fedora?

    How hold is the laptop? I'm intrigued of people's definitions of old. My current one is 2007... :') also HAVE YOU EVER HEARD OF ARCH LINUX IT'S REALLY GOOD

    @dufferz ive always used debian based distribution like Ubuntu elementary etc.

    But I'll try to install arch. if I fail, will straight away install manjaro

    @lxmcf I tried fedora few years ago, had poor support for my Broadcom WiFi drivers. Had to install them over wired internet, little bit of hassle

    @http418 yep I had the same issues, newer kernels support is faaaar better

    I'm using xfce on top of arch linux.

    @dufferz well I Installed manjaro straightaway to get the feel of arch. And I really liked pacman, then went ahead for a full arch installation.

    No my arch system is almost up and running, (almost because I have to install WiFi drivers and install a text editor) and I love it . The arch wiki is amazing.l, aur is amazing and pacman is amazing.
