Really Microsoft really you're going to make me upgrade to the new fucking shitty version of Skype. Just let me keep it how it is and fuck right off. I already deal with all your shit in Windows.

    Isn't there an alternative to that thing for you? Something like Discord? I also hated Skype, so I moved to something less crappy.

    Ms Teams is its replacement, no new account required and will work with Skype for video.

    But damn that’s a hunk of shit aswell 😅

    Because every app when a new version is released, all the previous versions keeps working forever right?

    @C0D4 not really, teams is like slack to work in teams/projects... Skype is like whatsapp/messenger ecc.. . For 1to1/group chat/calls

    At least this isn’t happening in GitHub yet...

    @A-C-E what exactly?

    @dontbeevil “this version of GitHub will stop working soon. Please update”

    Interestingly enough, I've had a terrible experience (lag, messages not sending / receiving) with the new Skype on windows, but a surprisingly good one on Linux on the same computer (dual boot). Wtf Microsoft ?

    @A-C-E
    1- github is just a web interface around git
    2- any git client will keep working because of git
    3- even if they update github desktop app and break the previous one, you're still free to use any other client of your choice
    4- the thing that's happening with skype, it's a thing that happen with most of app new version, when the backend has breaking changes

    Just use the web version

    @dontbeevil I was making a joke about the GitHub Microsoft acquisition

    @Brosyl they could change the api to github, but not the git commands... that one still works for years on vsts without a single change

    Just deployed it to users
    Still amazed to see a ms product packed with innosetup, and seeing ffmpeg.dll on its program dir blew my mind.
    Weird times indeed.
