I am using Manjaro as the main OS on my computer. But I have an original Windows 10 license, as well as an Office 2013.

I want/need to have them installed on PC, as I need to use it sometimes.

But if I install my Windows 10, it will certainly destroy my grub and I know I will have a hard time to make it work again.

Would it be a good idea to install them on a virtual PC? I know it would not be good with games, but the only game I have is GTA IV (that I am not even sure if it still works on Windows 10).

    I would create another partition and stick windows there. In fact using 3 partitions would be OK. One for Manjaro, one for Windows and another one for your files and stuff. In case you fuck up either OS's you will have your files intact.

    Another option would be to use wine. You can get a decent gaming experience with it and there is no need for pesky windows. You can even install steam and run games with it.

    @HelloBaze Yeah, maybe I can try to install it on Friday night, so I have the entire weekend to try to install grub again.

    I have already a separate partition only to data and a forth one that is my home dir. :)

    In my experience, I haven't had much problem reinstalling grub after a windows install. If I recall correctly, it was just a matter of running a LiveCD/USB, and running a couple of commands. Your mileage may vary, though, mostly if you have non-default grub settings, which you may have to back up first, just in case.

    @aritzh thanks! I will take a look on how to do it and I will try it.

    Last time I had issues with grub I was still a teenager. I just reinstalled Linux and done. Fixed it. Hahaha

    Today things are different. I really need to keep everything working.
