    Do many movies have that? I haven't noticed that trend in majority of them.

    The genre is definitely a factor, though.

    Don‘t watch movies that contain whining and you will notice that movies typically don’t contain that much whining.

    Huh. 'The Way Back (2010)' looks like a good movie.

    I might give it a try.

    On the whining note - the good thing about watching movies at home is the ability to skip the annoying parts, if there are any.
