    I've no problem staying away from Webpack, but I need an alternative. This is one of those areas where all routes lead to hell.

    Why? I took some time to learn it (more like struggled with it) and I think it's actually nice or at least it works.

    Webpack has a slightly steep learning curve, however as far as an alternative, I hear parcel is 0 configuration necessary, haven't tried it yet thought...
