I want to start a devRoulette project: basically something telling you what to code, in what language, and with some challenges if specified. Feel free to put your suggestions here :)

NEW: @SADAVA, who has been bashed quite a lot for their initiative of building demos for my project, didn't mean harm. In fact, I might consider a collab, so yeah :)

@TheOct0 why not use something like codewars to get the challenges, if they have an API, and then choose the language from the ones they have there, not very original, but if anything, it's a start

@S-Homles-MD Yeah, the output would look something like this:

Make [A program that does something] in [This language] with [This challenge].

Of course you could have settings because you don't know every language, and so on.

ideas for now:
Rankings for challenges, with comments, and a "report a mistake" button or sth like that.
Users should be able to login, to gain points for completing challenges or creating challenges.
Login via devRant, if oauth exists or sth like that. Main point here: I want to see devRant profile pictures on devRoulette.

@SADAVA, so do I, sadly. I do have a repository (GitLab) that's currently private because I'm setting the whole thing up, but I'd be glad to give you contrib access to it.

I'll be building the API server in Dartlang, reverting to node.js if I can't do what I'm planning to with Dart. I've only learnt it recently, after all.

Your ideas are quite good, too. It turns my idea of a basic "Tell me conditions I'll give you a challenge" into a whole platform linked to devRant, which is awesome.

devRant doesn't support oauth right now, but I could add an option to link your account, since profile pics are easily downloadable using the API.

Would you be able to design a good UI for a project like this? Or at least design a good wireframe, since I know Web development but suck at design?
