Sometimes mplayer (or whatever is built on top of it) can give you a hand if vlc fails.

Y'all ever try to use notepad and just look at the raw file instead? I mean with enough practice one could technically understand d raw binary files. Ffs who need media players anyways

So many people saying mplager and other things (don't get me wrong I love mplayer) but if you install like a billion codecs that aren't default, you will never have issues playing anything ever again with vlc.

Vlc can't play 4k because it decodes over the CPU and is therefore too slow
