@nothappy
Thats exactly what you should never do.
Normally, you use root privileges, to do things that can, eventually, harm your system, e.g. installing and removing software, changing system
Config-files, setting up a firewall.
By operating only in root, you lower the security of your system to nearly zero, because everything that gets executed can step around any kind of security mechanism. -
@sudo-rm-rf won't tell, as it's elementary and I'm too embarrassed and everyone will make fun
-
@nothappy "yeah you will?" Seriously, if you're just looking for a fight, go somewhere else please. There's a learning curve to everything and trying to skip over things to get to the end is a terrible idea.

The way GNU/Linux works is the good way. You don't need to bee always root to use your system. This is for security reasons. And every time you insert the root password you can think twice about the changes you are going to make. It's the Windows way that isn't good. You don't need to change distro to be always root. You can change how your distro work but don't do it, for your security and because if you don't have experience probably you need to reinstall your distro every few days.

Jifuna37266y@nothappy I can't possibly think of something embarrassing that only runs as root. Maybe you're running a botnet or something? If you want us to help you you have to tell it :P

Okay, since I'm handicapped in Linux due to our education system which forced us to learn on windows, I switched over to Linux, Ubuntu to be specific and I can't get anything done unless I am root, So suggest me another Linux OS with full root, Exceptions Kali Linux and Arch Linux
