Honestly, I’ve never been downvotes on SO, people always were nice and helped, except for a few smart asses..
Maybe I was lucky but I don’t thing it’s just luck..
Make sure your question is clear and nothing that can be found within 30min when reading the docs.
To me it’s sad to see that Stackoverflow gets more and more hate on devRant..
They supported me for almost a decade and I’ve never had a single bad experience there..
They saved me weeks of try&failure.. -
@just8littleBit they deserve it. Their community is full of total assholes. I doubt you'll get much sympathy for SO on here.

@segfault0xff think about this, how many of the devRant users are on / use / have an account / copy from StackOverflow..?
My guess, at least 80% from the devRant users who have more than 2 years dev experience will be on SO or see it as one of their most important tools / frameworks... -
@just8littleBit most of that is passive activity. I avoid interacting with that community like the plague.

CodeBane7736y@just8littleBit i got more than 2 years and you'll see me on Google first. Google-Fu >>>>> SO.
SO is full of a handful of helpful gems but they're surrounded by stuck up shits. And then I find often, people take it upon themselves to not answer a question and tell the person how, with no knowledge of their actual conditions, what they're doing is wrong. Then sparks a whole back and forth with the OP justifying why, it makes sense, then that person doesn't even have a fucking answer to begin with.
SO is just full of vigilantes tbh
Wish me luck! Just posted a question on StackOverflow...
Ready to get downvoted all the way down to the earth’s crust.
