Today is Friday. People are generally happy on Friday because it's the weekend.

I have a production upgrade tonight, which potentially can go through the weekend.

This is my second production upgrade support in a week. I'm sleep deprived and getting disinterested and seemingly in the want for a holiday.

    And this is first weekend of the month after salary. Sorry you have work, but others are out partying!

    @N0-Flux-Given people have all weekends off, I won’t deploy on a Friday even if my job depended on it.

    A prod release on friday night ? How do you use your end-users for beta-testing your prod release , uh ? That's bad practice ! :)
    Quit.

    @mclayoz the client where we're doing the upgrade generally has a huge load, and were doing it after 12AM because that's when the traffic is least.

    Also, it's well tested on a replica server at the client site itself. So our end users have agreed to it because it works well on the replica.

    So do I!

    @xalys I can empathize. It's 12:30AM here and we're still waiting for the server to be handed over to us. We're behind schedule even before we started. :/

    @mahaDev I finished the maintenance. How's yours?

    @xalys everything was going well, until everything went to shit . I've been awake for 30 hours straight and I feel like I'm in a dream every 4 seconds, before realising that it's actually me falling down.

    @mahaDev I've had that experience. I felt like I wanted a new identity and live in another country instead or fixing that mess.

    @xalys the worst part for me was finding out it was a bad configuration.

    Human error because the other guy did something stupid when he was sleepy.
