CoreFusionX350322hThat's thermal shock at its finest.
Doesn't help that people have become so fucking dependent on AC. I get it, it's nice to have, but it's *bad* for you to force shit like having 21° when it's 36° outside, or 30° when it's 3° outside.
Your body grows accustomed to the weather wherever you live, and such extreme shocks send it into panic mode, which cause all sort of imbalances.
Where I live, we go from -5° winters to 40° summers, and we've been getting by without AC for centuries.
All it takes is not to do retarded shit XD.
I myself have AC, but for example, right now it stays at 29°, which is comfortable and it barely needs to function, and in winter, it's usually at 18° (and it usually only needs to kick in once or twice during the day). -
jestdotty646022hit's dangerous to take a cold shower?
if in summer I'd do hotter shower than the heat to accustom my body to the heat. once you've been somewhere hot and go somewhere you thought was hot before you cease complaining. I think temperature differentials make your body re arrange and and blood vessel locations and metabolism also so it just makes it easier for you
... also temperature differentials are actually s healthy thing. lots of health nuts do saunas and cold rooms. it's that whole wim hof thing also. only dangerous if you're unfit or old / when you first start out
but I am a heavy anti AC person. always hated artificial temperatures. my mom had one and would run it so cold. come on your ancestors lived in 35c 90% humidity and by God I'm gonna be fucking stubborn. and idk why people bitch about -20c either. granted -20c in your face wind hurts and turns you red. but come on how baller are extreme temperatures?! makes you feel awesome after a while! -
TeachMeCode519422hWell tbh it certainly took only one day to acclimate to heat for me at least so now 85 degrees feels pretty damn normal. I had to turn off the ac bc 75 degrees felt cold lol. Imagine that? Crazy how the body works

Never had AC in my life, never grown accustomed to the heat in summer.
I'm miserable 3 monthes a year. -
Personally I'll just buy a hamoc/tent, find a wood near the beach and just go for a dive when i'm too hot.

TerriToniAX262619hAh, chit chat about temperature, how delightful! Here you are, my five cents of thought:
The extremes in my country range somewhere between -35 and +34, but more commonly go somewhere between -16 and +30. Our AC is adapted for Nordic climate and is our primary heat source. We usually deploy it when indoor temperature drops below +18. It's hardly ever necessary to use it for cooling in our agreeably cool climate. My small home office gets hot year round, though, but it usually helps just to keep the window open for a while.
P.S.
I have a cold shower in the winter/spring time when I'm chilled to the bone from foresting/gardening outdoors. Hot, or even luke warm, water on cool skin is painful!
Imagine having an ac breaking down when it’s a big heatwave. I kept taking cold showers but felt shittier and shittier. Was kinda surprised when I read the dangers of cold showers during heat waves, but tbh not THAT surprised bc I was wondering why I wasn’t feeling any better after all those showers lol. I got it replaced, but damn!
