Just found out why people don't use windows. It's because they think it does not work.

In my school we have apple TV's in every room and we use airplay to cast to the projector. And because apple are fucktards and hate cross platform anything they make it impossible for windows machines to connects reliabily. So now if a teacher has a windows computer they can't connect so they think it's windows fault but it is actually fucking apple. This is what pisses me off about apple so much.

@rEaL-jAy 100% agree I just hate how apple makes it seem like windows doesn't work when it is their products. (I still prefer Linux tho)

Yes, it works most of the time but when it doesn't works or slows down you're basically fucked if the troubleshooters fail. That's one of the reasons I use Linux. But ofcourse when you prefer Windows and it works flawlessly than you can use Windows.

@FrodoSwaggins I agree that will does is not even close to perfect. However I still believe that it is superior to Mac OS. Reason 1, more functionality. There are a lot more programs windows and especially for the development community a lot more things are available for windows. Reason 2, an open eco system. Windows does not just work with other Microsoft products. Any company can make products that work with windows with relative ease. Reason 3, hardware choices. MAC OS is bound to it's hardware and there is a limited selection of it. Whereas with windows there are hundreds of manufacturers and lots of choices with different designs.

I do agree that windows has a multitude of problems yet I still think it is better than Mac OS and Microsoft has better consumer and manufacturer policies

The problem is that neither company wants interoperability. Working purely on Mac with Mac gear is pretty flawless, try to connect some other shit and you are fucked. You would probably need some other pc compatible device hooked up to each tv as well as the apple tv for this to work for everyone, but Im just guessing.

For what it's developed for which OS doesn't work right out of the box? It's about durability and robustness

@FrodoSwaggins I use Linux. It is my main operating system. Windows update system sucks, it can be obtrusive and unstable, but you act like it is the cause of cancer and world hunger

If your hardware ships with Linux then it works right out of the box...same argument goes for windows and macOS. If you need to install Linux on a gaming laptop which has no official support for Linux then it's your problem when compatibility issues exist.

If you deny without providing a reason then you are a fanboy, and there's no point to continue the post!

I've worked on Linux for more than a decade and gained enough expertise when there's a problem I mostly solve it myself instead of blindly copy&paste commands from google and expect it to work, the issues I normally encounter on Linux takes a HPC specialist. Whereas the problems you mentioned above is completely rookie, maybe you need to learn how to filter information on google instead of blindly copy&paste command lines.
