    So version info is tied to tags on our repo. The problem is we have several projects in this repo sharing similar code. On one project I store version info in a Javascript file that is accessed through QML in a C++ Qt project. So far nobody has said anything and my clusterfuck persists. Mostly because nobody else wants to work on this project if they don't have to.
