Bear in mind going into the office could have literally killed me, given how incompetent they are.

atheist1068623h@Lensflare they've now actually got the medical advice they should have got when I joined the company, which they only got in the hope of forcing me to go into the office. It said I should be fully remote. They've then lied and threatened and broken a few more laws, enough that they're fucked. So I'm letting my sense of humour guide me. It thinks it'd be funny to destroy the company.

D-4got10-01124213h@atheist I'm kind of curious about this: was it perhaps a woman who told you that coming into the office would be beneficial to your mental health?
...because I'd expect that from one. -
@D-4got10-01 so it was originally a dude telling me he wanted me to come into the, he's the CTO. Our HR was there for the whole thing and should have known what he was saying was illegal (I knew but I smiled and nodded because I couldn't be bothered to argue). The HR person is a woman. And she's the one trying to post rationalise their whole incompetence.

@jestdotty like, had they followed the law, they'd have absolutely nothing to worry about. Had they done anything other than threaten and demand, they'd have much less to worry about. The funniest thing about all of this is they seem to have thought I wasn't playing above board so they took minutes for every meeting with me. And the minutes are the evidence I'll be using first and foremost. Cuz they literally show they broke GDPR.
I'm in the process of suing my employer and I've mentally checked out of my job.
Funny enough, threatening the assholes that threatened to fire me if I didn't come into the office "for the benefit of my mental health" has significantly improved my mental health.
