Lensflare1977921dIt’s a matter of luck getting the right reviewer on the first try.
And once a reviewer has criticized something, every subsequent reviewer will see what the previous one has criticized and will insist on that as well. -
kiki3758221d@Lensflare another important thing is in-app purchases: your app doesn’t have them. This authenticator does.

D-4got10-01150521dWeird. I'd think the app in question violates at least one of the rules mentioned in the Developer Policy Center:
https://play.google/developer-conte... . -
D-4got10-01150521d@kiki Ah, yes it is. Thanks for the correction.
I should've noticed that Apple GUI.
Either way - yes, they also have such policy.
App Review Guidelines -> 4. Design -> 4.1 Copycats:

CoreFusionX351818dApple review process is *really* prone to how exploited the Indian reviewer feels that day.
Which of course means it's arbitrary at best. Retarded at worst. -
BordedDev185817d@Lensflare Hmm maybe you can get permission to be the official molodetz rant app? @retoor @tamagochi
-
Lensflare1977917d@BordedDev maybe. But then nobody would be able to find it in the store when they look for a devRant ios app.
-
Lensflare1977917d@BordedDev I don’t think so.
I‘ve tried something similar already.
Basically anything that would allow others to find it when they are looking for a devRant app, will be used against me to argue that the app tries to disguise as the official devrant app and doesn’t have the permission to exist. -
Lensflare1977917d@BordedDev at this point I‘m glad that it can at least exist as a testflight app.
It’s so sad that this “Auth for Google authenticator” app whose logo definitely doesn’t try to impersonate google with a similar color scheme, with in-app purchases, is allowed to exist, while Lensflare’s JoyRant isn’t.
