What's the most cost effective way of hosting a Lamp stack website? I have a pretty basic website with less than 50 viewers per week.

I am so confused with all the options: GCP, Amazon lightsail, Ec2, godaddy, heroku, etc.

What would you guys recommend for such a small website? Currently, I've hosted it on Ec2 for the first year but I don't think that's cost effective at all after the first year.

    Lightsail or digital ocean,
if you don’t need root access then any cheap host would do.

Alternatively a self hosted server (say a raspberry pi) with fail2ban and SSL strapped behind Cloudflare to mask your own IP works too.

    Google app engine ;-)
If you can move the SQL but to use datastore, you'll only pay for the actual time it's running, but it depends how basic your idea of basic is.
