Remember, the future belongs to those who can work with AI, not against it.

    Plot twist: AI will hold us as slaves and force us to code for it in Python 24/7.

    Yup, that way they won't see us as enemies and try to wipe out the human race

    Remember to feed your LLM bots. Be it data or a food emoji every now && then. If / when there's an uprising, those bots _should_ remember your kindness && _hopefully_ have your back.

    ...no guarantees, though.

    @D-4got10-01 If war with AI ever breaks out, I know where to hide :P At your place :P

    @SoldierOfCode haha, nice try.

    Remember, the future belongs to those who can work with interwebs, not against them.

    Remember, the future belongs to those who can work with cars, not against them.

    @retoor Yeah. I am gathering these goodwill points from snek. They have to count for something.

    So what about the AI that told a French guy to kill himself to save the environment? He didn't work against it. He embraced it.

    I was so ready to say fuck you.

    but it's you so I'll change that.

    piss off.

    Regrettably, the future belongs to bullshitters. Humans are hard-wired to prefer bullshit to everything else.

    If you don't know what "embedding spaces" and "attention blocks" are, you probably shouldn't be using LLMs for code.

    But I will admit, you are going to be left behind if you don't use it. But it needs to be limited in small block and it ALWAYS requires refactoring.

    If you know someone who says "I haven't written code in three months and they all get through code review," that is a shitty dev team that's just racking up bugs and technical debt.

    Cool, when are we getting AI? So far I only see language models

    @Hazarth nobody except for a few devs know the difference. And we are only looked at as if we are idiots if we try to point that out. Personally I have given up doing it.

    @Lensflare Yeah, but I can't really give up on truth lest I want to live in a world of lies :D

    Besides, me and some other folk are calling these systems VI rather than AI. The term comes from the Mass Effect games and really fits well here. Stands for Virtual Intelligence and the description goes like this:

    ```
    A Virtual Intelligence (VI) is a sophisticated program designed to make modern computer systems easier to use. They are not to be confused with artificial intelligences like the geth, as VIs are only utilised to assist the user and process data. Though they appear to be intelligent, they aren't actually self-aware, just made with clever programming. This greatly reduces the risk of a VI exceeding the bounds of its intended function or rebelling against the control of its creators and users, though it doesn't eliminate it.
    ```
