Yo Amazon Music! Seems like it takes a LOT of resources just to play music.

Who coded this?

(Only using it because of the lossless FLAC, but still, damn, it's a heavy power drain.)

    Amazon's toxic work culture catching up to themselves maybe?

    @jestdotty Probably lol

    I'm so glad I did not take their offer 11 years ago lol.

    The offer was very sweet, though. They even proposed $25K USD as "moving expenses."

    But I'm happy where I am right now, and I don't think I would’ve been happy with them.

    Is there not an alternative player? Probably electron...

    Just curious: why do you need it lossless?

    I just looked at Apple Music’s audio format specs. It’s absolutely ridiculous.

    “Hi-Res Lossless for a maximum resolution of 24-bit/192 kHz”

    @Tounai what’s ridiculous about that?

    @Lensflare that’s more than 1mb per second of audio in memory 😂

    @Tounai so what? The whole file doesn’t need to be in memory, I assume it will be buffered.

    @Lensflare
    I am willing to bet that it still keeps a lot of it in memory so that you have “smooth transitions” and instant feedback when you want to go to a certain timecode.
