my dad bought me my first computer at 8, when I was 12 he thought I was always playing video games. at 19 he wouldn't pay for me to go get a bachelor's degree in computer science even though I was dual majoring with computer science and business. but he wonders how I always have money, he's 79 years old so not really unexpected.

my mom never understood what I was doing on computers but knew I was making money when I needed it, she's 61 years old and getting in bad shape so she's living with me and my wife. but she can tell when I'm thinking hard on a project and leaves me alone.

my wife doesn't know what I do and thinks I found a fucking magic money tree and she'll bug me after I spent 30 minutes planing a function out and I have to start over.

@pixeltherapy I swear that's what she thinks. like this morning worked all night the last few nights, went to the bank and pulled out $650 to pay an exterminator to get rid of termites and she asked me where it came from. I already told her I was going to be up working but it came from the fucking magic money tree.

magic money tree lol :p My mrs id very insistent on us always asking how eachothers day was at work. She works in a kindergarden so I know some stuff I can ask her (we have 2 kids in kindergarden ourselves), so always try following up a bit. Other way tho..

    Her: How was your day?
Me: Good, finished a project well in time!
    Her: K.

Sometimes she tries asking what I'm doing when I'm running through some tutorials tho, so at least she tries. :p
