After 3 months after leaving my previous company, I'm still getting SMS because someone included my telephone number in their automated test flow.

    That's annoying.

If you want to do a little damage, you may be able to report it as spam. Different countries take that at different levels of seriousness, could result in them getting black listed from the sms provider.

I had a test account for selling cars at my former employer, and actually someone did sell a non-existing car trough my account so received thousands. Was fun. It's a big online process to sell the car purely online, but it seems that the status just was forwarded to the actually paying step what would've mean that i've actually brought the car. But it's very weird that the administration people actually did not see my name. They're spending thousands (and millions a month) and they don't even check the name :P

@lungdart Won't do, it's not 'spam'. It's a real use case but they have just used the wrong phone number in the config.

I did contact one of my ex-colleagues and he forwarded it and it got fixed.

My account for one of the console manufacturer's sites was still active after some 6 months after I had left previous company. I chose to be professional && contacted the console manufacturer's support team. They handled that well.

@D-4got10-01 Oh yeah, that company had the same. Some peoples account was still active after 2 years after they resigned (or even got fired from) xD

    Truely a messy company

At least my account(s) got deactivated at my last hours there :)

@D-4got10-01 Probably better idea too. You can get into some *serious* trouble with stuff like this
