Have you ever asked yourself: "Do I really want to be a dev?". Maybe one wants to be an artist, y'know.

I really enjoy 3D character modelling and could probably get good enough (and about equal pay) but I have more than 10 years pro experience as a dev and near 0 character dev, and that industry is very cliquey and well...

Yes, I'm stuck with it as well for now because of the experience thing.

People do, they ruin hobbies. Art becomes tedious. Gaming becomes tedious.

To fix it, you would probably have to look into other stuff first, to detract attention.. and I find it's better to do things for yourself.

I did and the answer is always yes.

I have, my first answer was, rather be a multimillionaire, but being a dev is slightly easier

How about knitting, basket weaving, pottery, wood carving, ice sculpting, Macramé, gardening? I'm sure there's a hobby you'd enjoy.

But as I got good and started making money it got a lot more fun
