At the medical clinic I go they only use those... Makes me expect they are actually way better for your body

Are ergonomic mice really a thing? Never have I ever been sitting at my desk thinking "oh boy you know what I'd need now? A mouse that relaxes my wrists!"
...maybe due to the fact that I use a touchpad 80% of the time because I switch my working space quite a lot so even a normal mouse feels like luxury -
rhodium116yEveryone in my office swears by these, so I tried one. I gave it a fair trial - one whole month of use.
Findings:
- it's almost impossible to click something precisely, because the "click" motion is horizontal and inevitably causes the cursor to move to the left.
- it caused some pretty nasty pains in my elbow and wrist.
I've never had any RSI, carpal tunnel, etc so maybe this is a good mouse for those who have. But if you're not actively suffering, I wouldn't recommend switching because you could bugger up your arm like I did. -
It's explained in this video: https://youtu.be/XaWLLEztrIs
In short: you don't need to twist your bones -
Aeternum436y@Jilano The marketing for that sleeve is retarded xD, but the concept is actually pretty awesome.

eval6806yJust a few months ago when i started often spending >12h/day on the computer my right hand felt completely fucked from the trackpad. Switching to a normal mouse wasnt that much better either... Now i use one of these (mx vertical, expensive AF but wireless) and after some getting used to i can work precise and almost without killing my hand... So i guess it really helps
