You missed the short era when devRant's cert had been expired, which has been renewed recently.

Some systems are down. You'll notice notifications, score, probably something else I'm forgetting !working.

Other than that: tech rants, drama, betrayal... you know... the usual.

@grayfox Indeed, we're mostly OK, w/ the core systems still running just fine.

I do wish the creators would show up to fix things, though.

Many organs are dead and it‘s basically kept alive by a tube through its throat.
The nurses are active and doing everything they can to keep it from going into the light.

A very nice alternative is built with extra features (https://my.devplace.net) by a blind fish that does X. But devrants flaw is also devrants strength: the members left are all autists that don't want to jump ship. I once literally made a devrant clone and still nobody jumped ship. I think secretly, some of us have tattoos of dR.

This website did not have a https certificate for months so we had to use https://dr.molodetz.nl and it's still useful, because the site does not show slim errors on that site. But the maker of that site is named after hacker with the name reversed. We can't trust that.

Also, you missed the AI bot wars. It resulted in my site getting spammed to dead with fake accounts by the spammer of devrant.

Maybe also a pedo lawyer that with his bot network created an army of hentai posting bots.

Ther mentions are not working anymore. Apps now fetch it from a remote API.

SoldierOfCode is creating a new dR android app.

My telegram bot can do harry potter smut.

Oh, @D-4got10-01 mentioned already. The betrayals, ooeeh, the betrayals.

Oh, and I made a devrant Image sharing service (https://devrant.molodetz.nl) but it got stuffed with porn on day one, and not the good ones. I tried to upload better porn to not lose face but my internet was too broken and page does barely load because of the huge animated svg files on homepage.

Ostream is still here, defending people who can defend themselves but don't get a change too. Nice guy, but not if you're from Germany.

Germans took over this website like they do with towels over chair on the beach.

I'm sure there are more great stories.

Better-teams has nice functionality but I hope these features are built in teams right now. I'm_working is a nice script, but if someone sees the code, you'll lose your work :p [next(file) for x in range()] :p Hmm, back then there was also no pathlib I guess. Some random sleeps during the process would've been nice.

Actually Better Teams features are NOT available in Teams and that's mental.

It's rocking 1K users right now so not bad for a small side project.
