I created a mcp for molodetz server so I can connect it to grok for reboots and server stats. It works fine, but slow. It doesn't cache the mcp server signatures so it has to resolve every time what functions it offers. It can take 30s.

My original plan was to give it persistajt memory also for calling but it seems calling does not call the mcp. It would be cool if I could call for server stats and reboots. Alsy, try to say molodetz to AI. Impossible.

The speech these days is very good but really custom words like molodetz don't work.

@Lensflare I have now two search bars when I search. One from the bottom and one from the top. Don't pretend that they care about decent software anymore. This is ugly as fuck.

@whimsical reminds me of MS when they made the search bar in Windows make online bing search when you tried to search for local files.
    Fucking asshats.

@Lensflare those companies have to remember why they did became big. They made good stuff, that's how it happened. But we live in a new world now. Advanced programmers can produce products on their own now. And regarding windows, everything is Web or an app. They can't remain annoying. Back in the day we had apps like taxes and you needed windows and shut but that time is over. And regarding games, steamos is gonna blow them away. For many people it's basically all about games. Business that's not games is handled by phones now.

@whimsical yeah I think gaming is the main reason why Windows managed to remain relevant for the last decade at least.
And I also think (and hope) that Valve will soon take over the PC gaming market, that MS was dominating undeservedly.

i think they'll remain shitty. nothing will stop them

there's no alternatives. and business, especially tech companies, have perfected the art of being anti-competitive. because software does not require physical resources, software companies had to invest a lot of R&D on how to add friction so they could "corner the market". in physical / resource requiring markets, it takes 5-20 years to build a factory and compete. in software a facebook is built every 2 weeks by an indian guy for 500$ (so many contract posts for this). you had to find a way so that those things never took off. that was their actual greatest innovation. how to box people in, then milk them
