@gathurian I was lol-ing about the fact that the person wished for linux to be the best OS in the past tense. Genies like to screw with your wishes ;)

Also using "best" in a wish is pretty bad. Could have said something like "I wish everyone used linux."

Also I have a GTX 1070 and the .run file worked pretty good for me. Had to blacklist the nouveau driver, but the installer did that for me

Meh. Experiences vary, so do needs. Not everyone will find a particular feature of an OS useful. I personally see use in each of them. But then again, some people seem to disagree on that. I call them fanboys. If they cannot recognize a glaring issue and agree that another OS does it better, it’s no use talking to them. Find what works for you and feel free to dabble inside other OSs. If you think I’m wrong AND you can prove it, feel free to mention me. If not, good on you, enjoy your OS and the rest of your day.
